A Bittersweet Tale of Silver’s Surprise

Our journey begins at a pet farm where we were all brimming with anticipation, hoping to find our perfect Shiba Inu.

However, the overall experience was marred by subpar conditions and poor hygiene in most shops. Not a great start. The Shiba hunt was a bust. No luck in a few shops and we were feeling down. Amid the disappointment, we stumbled upon a charming Labrador and our hearts instantly connected with this adorable pup. We waited one day to think about it and rushed back the following day to claim our newfound joy, only to discover that the Labrador had been sold.

Another wave of disappointment washed over us. We got to another shop and that’s where we met Silver, another cute Labrador. She immediately became a part of our family and was showered with love and attention everyday. It was 2 months later when we were met with a shock – we found out that Silver was not a purebred Labrador but a crossbreed with a Maremma Sheepdog.

It has been such a roller coaster – from the Shiba disappointment to the surprise twist with Silver’s breed. I am sharing this story and hoping that nobody has to go through the same heartache and pain as we experienced.

When you are on a pet hunt, do your homework and make sure you are dealing with proper pet shops. For us, we would not change a thing now. Silver has brought so much joy into our lives. We recently celebrated her first birthday and she has become an essential part of our family. Despite the ups and downs, the love we have for Silver is truly special.
